in China.
Previously led the international effort to free blind activist Chen Guangcheng from China
who arrived in the United States on May 19, 2012. Guangcheng is a Chinese civil rights activist who has worked on human rights issues in rural areas of the People's Republic of China. Blind from an early age and self-taught in the law, Chen advocates for women's rights, land rights, and the welfare of the poor.
In 2005 Chen gained international recognition for organizing a landmark class-action lawsuit against authorities in Linyi, Shandong province, for the excessive enforcement of the one-child policy.
An acclaimed international expert on China’s One Child Policy, Littlejohn has testified eight times at the United States Congress, three times at the European Parliament, and has presented at the British, Irish, and Canadian Parliaments as well.
Reggie has also briefed officials at the White House, the United States Department of State, the United Nations, and the Vatican.
She is a frequent guest on radio and television programs, including CNN, C-SPAN, and the BBC, and has issued several groundbreaking reports that are included in the Congressional Record.
